ANTHROPOLOGY REGISTRAR, Full-Time Opening
The Field Museum is one of the world's greatest Natural History Museums.  We
are currently seeking an experienced Registrar to assume an important role
in our Anthropology Department.  Create, organize and maintain records
relating to the entry, exit and safekeeping on the Anthropology Department
collections. Develop and implement policies and procedures for loans into
and out of the Museum for new acquisitions and records use. Organize and
maintain inactive collections records and documents relating to department
history. Prepare and manage budget for information management purposes and
well as prepare grant proposals. MA in Museum studies, anthropology or
related field required with a minimum of three years experience in museum
registration. Must have prior supervisory experience. Position reports to

EHIBITIONS REGISTRAR, Full-Time (2.5 years)
The Field Museum is seeking an experienced registrar to assist with our
exciting exhibition schedule.  Implement registrarial aspects of incoming
and outgoing temporary exhibitions, including creating loan, insurance and
shipping budgets. Monitor loan agreements; arrange shipping; research
checklist information; produce and monitor condition reports; evaluate
insurance values for loans; supervise packing and unpacking; prepare
installation report; and oversee exhibitions while on tour. Additionally,
responsible for preparation of applications for Federal Indemnity and
Immunity from Search and Seizure, for international loans. BA/BA required
(Masters preferred) in art, anthropology, or art history with five years
museum registrarial experience. Preference will be given to candidates with
experience arranging all aspects of complex international loans and
traveling exhibitions.  This position reports to the Anthropology Head of
Collections along with general direction from the Manager of Temporary
