Dear List Members,

I'm in the process of revising an outdated budget for a new museum, and want to make sure we've covered all the necessary bases in terms of
startup cost. Though I'm generally familiar with startup costs for small businesses, I've never seen any guidelines for estimating startup costs for
museums. Based on my review of several business plans for new museums, it also looks as though there's no consensus as to what falls under
the headings of capital costs, startup costs, and initial operating costs (i.e., over the first three years of operation). If anyone can point me in that
direction, or share insights from their own experiences, I'd greatly appreciate it.

Sincerely,

John C. Rumm
Executive Director
Catholic Heritage Center
