2013 Fall Internship at The Gaston County Museum

The Gaston County Museum is currently seeking an education intern for Fall 2013.   The education intern will work with programs staff in developing and conducting educational programs at the museum for toddlers through adults.

The successful candidates will be detail oriented, organized, and able to work independently.  Must be able to work with and meet deadlines, lift up to 30 pounds, and climb stairs and ladders.  Preference will be given to candidates with previous museum work or course experience and/or candidates wishing to pursue a career in museums. 

The internship are unpaid, but housing that is within walking distance to the museum is provided.  The internship will begin in August, 2013 and be 30 to 40 hours per week during that time. Deadline for application is July 5, 2012.
