Adrienne,
I'm sorry you never saw one "in action" - as a kid, that was the best
part of getting ready to go back to school - when you went to the shoe
store to try on new  shoes, they would have you stand with your feet in
the bottom of the machine and you could "see" how much room for "growth"
there was, between your bones and the shoes.  A friend and I who grew up
on opposite sides of the country were trying to explain it to someone
who was with us when we saw the exhibit - the third person is about 10
years younger and she thought - no, was convinced - we were wacko as we
tried to explain just how cool they were.  If you decide to do the trip,
don't hesitate to drop by - or at least call (956-430-8500), when you're
passing through.
