Unfortunately, the way our building is set up, we cannot rearrange our cooking location as we have a full kitchen.  Most of the time only our microwave is used for lunch and the smells resulting from using it are minimal at best.  It is on Fridays when we have our group lunch and food is cooked on the stove or in the oven.  It is on these days that the cooking smells from the kitchen will permeate into office spaces and some of our storage spaces (this storage space is closed off by doors that are always closed unless we are moving artifacts).  Most of the time these smells dissipate within the hour, but one of our staff members thought that an air freshener was needed.  Also, we have had a IPM in place for about three years, which is monitored monthly by our pest company and have not had any pest problems within our main office/exhibit building.  Our janitors are very good about emptying our trash once a day and making sure that our kitchen and our break room is thoroughly cleaned on a daily basis.
