Public Programs Assistants: The Homestead Museum, a six-acre historic
site in eastern Los Angeles
County, seeks two full-time Public Programs Assistants: one to assist
the museum’s Public Affairs
Coordinator; the other to assist the Education Coordinator.  Both
positions will involve assisting
in the development and coordination of public programs including special
events, educational
programs, and tours.  Minimum requirements: BA in history, museum
studies, or equivalent; excellent
writing, speaking, interpersonal, and organizational
skills; and computer literacy.  Preference will be given to candidates
with a MA in a related
field; Spanish or Chinese fluency; and experience in event planning,
retail management, teaching
and curriculum development, or volunteer management.  Highly competitive
