You need more than practical advice- you need to know what you are doing,
or hire someone who does. It's not enough to follow directions (how to
prepare materials, how long to freeze, how many "cycles" to do, how cold
must the freezer be, etc.). You should know what is happening and why.

There's lots of information on this on the web. I suggest you start your
search on Conservation On Line (CoOl) , or any of the MANY links to it. You
could also go to the American Institute for Conservation, or the
Smithsonian, or probably just do a web search on "freezing +
textiles". You may find that freezing is not the best option, or that your
freezer cannot provide a cold enough environment.

I really enjoy this discussion list, but you would be better off doing the
research yourself. Of course you could always post your sources for others
when you are done.
