*Proposals due December 19, 2008*

2009 Conference
Call for Programs
The 22nd Annual Visitor Studies Association Conference
For What It’s Worth: Wrestling with Relevance, Public Value, and Impact
The conference, which will be held in Saint Louis, Missouri, from July 21 - 25, will explore how museums and other informal learning environments demonstrate, measure, and define the ways in which our institutions make a difference in the lives of visitors and communities. To highlight how research and evaluation can be used to improve practice, submissions are encouraged from those who apply the results, as well as those who design and conduct studies. Session proposals that explore issues directly related to the conference theme will be given special consideration, but proposals dealing with other topics of interest to research and evaluation in informal learning environments are also encouraged.

Sessions, papers, posters, discussions, and roundtables will be presented on Thursday, Friday and Saturday (July 23, 24 and 25). Deadline for submission is December 15, 2008.
