Over the last decade, a separate organization with their own board known as the Chartiers Valley Partnership was created to mount an $8 million capital campaign for restoration of the historic Andrew Carnegie Free Library and Music Hall (which includes a small Civil War Museum) in the Pittsburgh suburb of Carnegie, Pennsylvania. This allowed the Library Board of Trustees to concentrate on more pressing library, music hall, and museum issues.

Although not quite all of the $8 million was raised (most was raised), the Chartiers Valley Partnership was dissolved last year.
