The 1996 George Wittenborn Memorial Book Award Committee of the Art
Libraries Society of North America (ARLIS/NA) welcomes submissions of
notable art books published in North America during 1996.  The Award,
established in 1973 by ARLIS/NA to honor the memory of the premier New
York art book dealer and publisher, George Wittenborn (1905-1974), is
given each year to fine arts publications which exhibit the highest
standards in content, documentation, design and production.

Titles eligible for the award include books, exhibitions catalogues,
periodicals, CD-ROMS and multi media publications in any language.  Works
on all styles, time periods, and subjects in the visual arts by North
American publishers will be considered.  All items must be published in
1996 and received for consideration no later than January 22, 1997.
