Has anyone mentioned Old World Wisconsin yet? A fantastic living history
museum in Eagle, Wis., just a short drive from Milwaukee. I would also put
in votes for Milwaukee Public Museum and the zoo. All three were childhood
favorites of mine and frequent field trip destinations, having grown up in
Madison! Oh, and I also recommend partaking of some local cheese curds while
you're there - the squeakier the better! (the best ones squeak against your
teeth as you chew them)

The Milwaukee Public Museum is a classic and a must-see. So too is the
Milwaukee County Zoo.  Both of these were light-years ahead of their time;
the rest of the field spent decades catching up.

Oh, and House on the Rock. An absolute must. Their billboard says it
all: "So much to see; so hard to explain."
