Call to list research on e-learning in museums (March 20, 2006)
We at the e-journal MUSEUM EDUCATION MONITOR (MEM) are now compiling a
list of ongoing research projects undertaken by practitioners, students,
and academics on museum education and interpretation issues for our
upcoming April 2006 issue.
This month we are particularly interested in ongoing research related to
questions surrounding e-learning in museums, galleries, science centres,
historic sites, and other informal learning settings. The tools (e.g.
blogs & wikis online; hand-helds and other devices in the galleries) are
proliferating rapidly but is there any evidence that learning is taking
place in our newly-"connected" electronic environments? If not, what IS
happening?
If you would like to list your research, please send an e-mail to

- research question(s) [no more than 50 words, please]
- principal researchers
- site(s) where research is being conducted
- time span
- contact information
- key words to describe the project [no more than 4 or 5, please]
