> Hanta virus can kill you.

I've dealt with deer mice and possible Hanta virus problems in museums
in New Mexico, where the virus is endemic. The threat of Hanta virus comes
primarily and almost exclusively when deer mice are present in a closed
environment. Almost any ventilation dramatically reduces the danger of Hanta
virus transmitted to humans. Not all deer mice have the virus; tests for the
virus are expensive and take several weeks to complete.

Keep storage areas subject to mice infestation well ventilated and the
threat of the virus diminishes to almost nothing.
