The Australian Registrars Committee and the Powerhouse Museum  are
presenting a two day professional development seminar in Sydney on 28 and 29
May,
1998.

The seminar is titled `Computerisation, Imaging and the Internet:
Advancing collection management'

The seminar aims to share the latest information about museum IT and
documentation projects and systems, imaging,  AMOL, copyright and
structuring information on the Internet.  The second day will be devoted
to workshops on a range of  topics such as imaging technology, barcoding
and controlled vocabularies.  We hope to make the seminar useful to
everyone from large and small museums interested in  `advancing
collection management'.

We are currently seeking speakers who would like to participate in
either the more formal sessions on the first day or presenting workshops
