The Texas Historical Commission provides museum services on a statewide
basis to any non-profit museum or group planning a museum. I am the
Coordinator of Museum Services. We offer advice, information,
consultations, a small grant program, an award program, the Winedale Museum
Seminar and individualized training and workshops. We maintain a mailing
list, files and a database of museums in the state (approximately 650-700).
I spend a lot to time traveling around the state working with individual
museums.
