POSITION AVAILABLE

Museum Services Assistant

Under the supervision of the Director of Museum Services, this
individual will be responsible for the following administrative
functions:

  Drafting correspondence

  Servicing membership inquiries

  Monthly production of membership renewal notices

  Coordinating promotional mailings and new member acquisition letters

  Data processing and reporting

  Photocopying and faxing operations

  Maintaining departmental files

  Assisting with conferences and meetings

  Obtaining office supplies

  Assisting with special projects as necessary

Applicant should have a strong background in Art History and/or museum
experience.  Strong oral and written communication skills are essential,
as is word processing ability and attention to detail.

Salary commensurate with experience.  Excellent benefit package that
includes three weeks vacation. The American Federation of Arts is an
