DEVELOPMENT DIRECTOR

The Georgia Department of Community Affairs is seeking a Development
Director at the Georgia Music Hall of Fame in Macon.  Position is
responsible for all aspects of development and requires excellent oral and
written communication skills and demonstrated fundraising capabilities.
Must be able to develop and implement creative fundraising strategies to
advance the Museum's profile in the State.  A working knowledge of grant
writing, public relations, and marketing is also required.  Must have
excellent planning and organizational skills, good decision-making skills,
and strong "people" skills.  A Bachelor's degree in Communications, Liberal
Arts, or a related field and at least ten years of professional experience
in the development field or any equivalent combination of training,
education, and experience is required.  This is a Non-Merit position with
excellent state benefits and a beginning salary that will be based on
