Salary Range $24.62 - $31.07 per hour

Oversees the education department under the supervision of the Director of
the Junior Museum and Zoo. This includes the Science Summer Camp program,
the After School Science Camp program and the Science Outreach Program.
Responsible for the development and monitoring of a $340,000 education
budget. Responsible for overseeing the work schedules of 10 educators and
coordinating the assignment schedules in five to eight local schools.

Responsibilities specific to job:
*       Development and monitoring of $340,000 education budget
*       Development of science curriculum and activities for education
programs
*       Scheduling 10 educators during the school year
*       Scheduling 30 camp staff during the summer
*       Oversight of staff training and development
*       Scheduling of all summer camps, after-school classes and science
outreach program
*       Liaison to Producer Arts & Sciences for Art Center Children's
programs
*       Development of accompanying exhibit guides
*       Work in collaboration with Zoo staff and Exhibit staff in the
development of exhibitions and zoo habitats

Qualifications:
*       MA is science, education, museum studies or related experience
*       Budget oversight, monitoring and development
*       Scheduling and directing the work of a team of educators
*       Detail oriented
*       Well-organized
*       Strong verbal and written communicate skills
