Dear Listers

Can you recommend a good leather upholstery conservator?

We are in the process of restoring the Third Floor of a Henry Conrad
Mauer, Colonial Revival house built in 1906. Some of the furniture
selected for the furnishing plan will need restoration before they could
be put on display.

The Sears 1908 catalog p. 1094 shows similar upholstery fringe that our
Robert Mitchell tufted leather chairs have... or at least did have.
Several of the leather strips have dropped off and the leather is in
need of conservation - very dry and its bluish/black color has worn away
in some places.

I would appreciate any references you may suggest!

Thanks,
Ware
