Hi, i am working on a museum project here in Los Angeles and am
unavailable to move out of the city recently, it has been brought to my
attention that a MA in museum studies
would be helpful
my question concerns the distance learning program in museum studies at
Leicester University- I checked the archives and it appears that
Leicester has a very strong and respected museum program:
my question, though, is this recognized? is the program accredited here
in the US?

(the web site states: CHNTO (Cultural Heritage National Training
Organisation) validation and Museums Association recognition of the
distance learning course is currently being sought- i am not sure what
that means for us here)

also my other fear is that it might look like i am buying my degree from
a correspondence course-
do you, in the museum world, have an opinion on this?

or would you have any other recommendations for US schools who do
distance learning in museum studies?

thanks
dk
