Keynote Speaker: Dr David Fleming OBE Director of the National Museums
Liverpool
Dr David Fleming was born in Leeds in 1952. He has been Director of the
National Museums Liverpool since October 2001. Previously he was
Director of the multi-award winning Tyne and Wear Museums for 11 years,
where he oversaw major museum developments and a massive growth in
audiences. He is currently a trustee of the National Football museum and
sits on a variety of Boards including the Steering Group associated with
Liverpool’s World Heritage Site bid. He is a past President of the UK
Museums Association, and lectures world wide on museum management and
leadership.

Library

Sue Clayton, Secretary of the Flintham Museum, Flintham, Nottinghamshire

Winner of the Robert Logan Award: to present the paper judged to be the
best submitted in this year’s competition.

The BAFM Conference is open to all those interested in heritage sector
and is an excellent way of meeting other Friends to exchange ideas and
information.
