As a former Minnesotan, the best advice for dressing for MN
weather is always wear a lot of layers.  The weather can change
dramatically from day to day and even from day to night...and that way
you are always prepared.
        In terms of dining places, I would agree with the recommendation
of Christo's for greek food as well as It's Greek to Me.  In
addition...Green Mill has some of the best pizza I have ever
tasted...especially their stuffed spinach pizza.  They are located in
Uptown Mpls.
