I am a graduate student in Library & Information Science at the University of
Illinois. Currently, I am researching museum cataloging standards. I have
done a considerable of amount of reading & research regarding: ARTMARC,
Nomenclature, VRA, CDWA, Object-Id, Dubline Core, EAD, SPECTRUM, CIDOC, MDA, &
CIMI DTD. What I lack is any first hand knowledge or experience with many of
these standards.

At the present time, I am physically located in Nevada. I have approached
some of the museums here, but have not been able to speak with anyone
concerning the methods they employ in documenting & cataloging their
collections. I would like to impose upon the subscribers to this listserv to
offer any opinions, experiences, or preferences they have had using any
cataloging standard.

I appreciate your input & look forward to reading your responses,

Marie Nicholl-Lynam
