Hi!

Here's my advice on how to build good hands-on exhibits:

First:
   Hire somebody who:
...has built many hands-on projects, with many
interesting hands-on devices.
...has an excellent record delivering those projects on
time.
...has an excellent record delivering those projects on
budget.
...has an excellent record making exhibits that don't
break, and has shown that they absolutely stand behind their
work.
...has references from every one of their past clients,
the most telling reference being a repeat customer.

Then:
Have them work WITH you and your team to design devices
that deliver the concepts of YOUR storyline as effectively
as possible.

...It's as easy as that! (plus a lot of work).

 GOOD LUCK!
