Aaron,
Perhaps the November/December issue of "Museum News" titled 9/11: The World
Transformed, by Robert Macdonald, Director of the Museum of the City of New
York may be an example.

Subject: Museums and National Identity

Hello Folks,
I am looking for articles concerning museums and national identity. Has
anyone come across (or authored) anything along these lines - how museums
are involved in the establishment of a "national identity" - for good, bad,
devious or heroic motives - the ideology of the author is less important to
me than addressing the issue. I am grateful for your help.
Aaron
