This is particularly ironic happening in Soho, where artists have
   provided the impetus for one of the great unplanned development
   successes in the country.  Soho has been the model for dozens of
   artist pioneered community redevelopment schemes.  I think that some
   of the people in the City government, seeing how tourists and the like
   have made soho into something of a mall and a brand name, are now
   planning to tidy the joint up.  Bad idea and appalling tactics.
