Dear List Members,

I'm writing on behalf of a friend who has no e-mail access. She holds a
diploma in textile restoration and works in an ethnology museum. She's
currently facing the following question / problem:

A hall with 19th century frescos in it shall temporarily be used for an
exhibition. Due to the "stylistic mismatch" between the exhibits and the
frescos the latter shall be veiled in any way during the course of the
exhibition (which might be quite long).

The covering shall be dust proof but without risk that a too humid
microclimate develops under it.

Yet the frescos have still to be relatively easy accessible for
conservational measures or scientific examinations.

Do exist any guidelines for such a kind of problem? Are there professional
suppliers known who may offer such service?

Any propositions, tips, experiences or information about reference sites
with solutions for similar problems are appreciated. Replies either to the
list or off list c/o: [log in to unmask]

Thanks in advance

Norbert
