Hello,

I had a research request from someone who is painting
a color oil painting from a black and white image of a
woman he estimates is from the 1840s or 50s. He
called to see what colors were available at the time,
so that he might paint a historically accurate
painting. I have not seen the image -- he is bringing
it in tomorrow.

I was wondering if anyone out there could give me some
basic idea of what was available/popular during those
decades.

Thank you!

Kim Kenney
