I spoke with Philip Scranton who is Director of the Center for the History
of Business, Technology, and Science. This is the department here at
Hagley that organizes the conferences. He said that they do not tape the
sessions for transcription or provide handouts of the talks because the
information belongs to the researcher. Contact information on how to reach
the speakers will be provided if you are interested in a particular topic.
If you would like to contact the Center for further information, please
contact Carol Lockman at [log in to unmask]

I'm sorry that we are unable to provide proceedings for those of you who
are interested but that is the Department's policy. I do hope that some of
you who live in this region might be able to attend this free conference.
It seems like these days that even one day conferences such as this one
usually have a high registration fees.
