I am posting this in the hopes that someone working at a historic house
museum or living history site may have heard the term "Still Room"
One of my volunteers is doing some research on herb gardens and the use
of herbs at the turn of the Century and has come across this term
referring to a room where most of the drying and preparing was done.
She want to know whether this was common, and where it may have
originated.

Any help would be appreciated.
Thank you to all in advance.
