Temporary Position Available -- Allentown Art Museum

Research Assistant for Fine Arts

Job Objective
Complete catalog research including bibliography and provenance
information for works of art in the Allentown Art Museum's collection.
Primary responsibilities will be to complete original research following
strict information management protocols for selected American and
European paintings, sculptures, prints, drawings, photographs and
textiles, applying keywords that permit meaningful database searches.
 
Starting Date:  June 14, 2004

Duration:  9 Months
Hours:  35 Hours per week 

Pay:  $13.75 per hour.  This position is funded through a grant from the
Institute of Museum and Library Services, a federal agency, and the
Museum's general operating funds.

Requirements:           M.A. in Art History
                                Computer Literate
                                        Ability to work independently
                                        Detail oriented
