OK, Americans for the Arts reports that the full Appropriation Committee
Markup of our Cultural Endowment appropriations will occur on Thursday,
June 26.  The National Assembly of State Arts Agencies places the session
two days earlier, on Tuesday the 24th. Meanwhile 26 Republicans in the
House have already signed a letter from Rep Lazio (R-NY) to Speaker
Gingrich in support of cultural funding. To be brief I'm including a list
of the Interior Subcommittee members and how they voted on the proposal to
restore the $89.5 million to the NEA (+ indicates a pro NEA vote). I also
have assembled the full appropriations committee contact information as
well as contact info for those Representatives who have signed on to
Lazio's etter. Let me know if any of you wish copies.
