Dan- What's your e-mail address or off-list contact information? It
wasn't included in your original message.

ASTC, the Association of Science-Technology Centers, coordinates a
Reciprocal Free Admission Program (RFAP) for member institutions.
Although many member museums do charge admission, Franklin Boyd, our
membership coordinator, can probably answer many of your questions. He
may be contacted at [log in to unmask] or by phoning (202) 783-7200.

     Hope this helps!

Subject: reciprocal membership programs among admission-fee museums

The Exhibit Museum of Natural History in Ann Arbor is an admission-fee
museum. We're thinking of ways to enter into reciprocal membership
programs with other musuems (within our university, within our community,
and within the larger metropolitan area). We were wondering if any of you
have any experience with reciprocal membership programs in which free
admission is not one of the benefits (because admission is already free)?
If so, how does the reciprocal relationship work? What are the benefits
that members get? What is the fee structure and how does the accounting
work?
Probably best to reply off-line. I'll be glad to send the results to
anyone interested. Thanks. - Dan
