In today's (12/18.96) "Metropolitan Diary," a regular Wednesday feature in
"The Living Section" of the New York Times, is an item reporting the text
of a sign seen in a Northport, Long Island antiques shop:

"END-OF-YEAR CLEARANCE SALE,
MUST MAKE ROOM FOR 1897 MODELS."
