I've been asked to post the following job opening:

THE ORGANIZATION: PUMP HOUSE REGIONAL ARTS CENTER, INC.

The Pump House, a regional arts center established in 1977 to serve a
seven-county region surrounding La Crosse, Wisconsin seeks qualified
candidates to fill the position of Executive Director.  The Pump House
houses four gallery spaces that feature temporary exhibits of work by
local, regional, and nationally recognized artists as well as student
exhibtions and juried shows.

In its theatre space, The Pump House also sponsors the Lively Arts Series
of concerts and performances of jazz, folk, blues and classical music.
Artsway is the Pump House's program to promote improved access to the arts
for persons with disibilities.  The Pump House also publishes a bi-monthly
regional arts magazine, The Revue and sponsors classes and workshops
throughout the year for students of all ages.

THE POSITION: EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

The successful candidate will be a visionary with the arts and
organizational experience to lead the Pump House into the next millenium.
The profefessional hired will have proven skills in organization,
leadership and administration, arts educational programming, strong
community relations, public and private grant funding, and sound fiscal
management. Desired attributes include enthusiasm, passion, an active
participant in life and the arts, great leadership/team building, an
explorer of opportunities.

The position reports to the volunteer Board of Directors and is
responsible for planning, implementing, and supervising all Pump House
business and administrative matters. These include developing cultural
activities and creating educational outreach programs for the tri-state
area; marketing; budget planning and management; planning anf implementing
grant proposals and fundraising activities; recruiting volunteers; and
supervising office, program, production staff and interns.

Qualifications should include a degree in arts, business administration,
or related field with appropriate arts organization experience.  Starting
salary to mid-$20's. Applications will be accepted until the position is
