that are used in our collection.  Can someone let me know what the 
standard is or point me in the direction of where I can find this 
information?  I would appreciate all the help I can get in this

The Textile Museum in Washington DC recently published a Thesaurus of 
textile terms - it's quite extensive. You can get a copy from them.
