We have undergone a complete change in staff and interpretation within the last
few years, during which the mansion was renovated and much of the furniture
restored. If you haven't been recently, the interior will look much different
when you see it again. Consequently, we have not yet reached at a point where
we can travel with into the community, but all of our events are free to the
public and we have a strong "special events" focus (Sleep Under the Stars,
Rover Romp, Ice Cream Festival, Holiday Open House, and so forth). The goal is
to offer free (or low cost) events to the public, as it is their tax dollars
that keep us operational.
Now, if they would just give me a FULL TIME JOB, I'd be thrilled! :-)
