Museums of The Royal College of Surgeons of England
Curatorial Assistant

GBP15,000 - £15,500

Do you want to help reinvent England's oldest medical museum? The Museums
of The Royal College of Surgeons of England are looking for a Curatorial
Assistant to join our team as we start work on a GBP3.5 million
refurbishment of our public museums.
The refurbishment project offers the opportunity of research and
exhibition development work. You will have particular responsibility for
our medical instrument collection and a desire to develop curatorial
expertise in this area would be an advantage. You should be an
enthusiastic and highly motivated teamworker with a relevant degree and
at least six months of museum work experience, together with excellent
written and verbal communication skills. We will encourage your
development through a mix of in-house and external training based around
a personal development plan.

You can find out more about the College and its museums from our website,
http://www.rcseng.ac.uk.

For an application pack please send a stamped addressed envelope to Human
Resources Department, The Royal College of Surgeons of England, 35-43
Lincoln's Inn Fields, London, WC2A 3PN quoting reference number 5002 or
mailto:[log in to unmask]
Closing date for applications is 4 September 2002.
