Concerning Skateboards.

Atour Museum, we met with boarders to explain that our sandstone retaining
walls, etc were really important to us and it was our WORK to protect and
care for them. Those we could corral, we told. Notwithstanding having to
face a bit of "Attitude".

We also have a exfoliated granite monument plinth that casual skaters-by
liked to skid over and this was a problem on weekends. We couldnt talk to
the skaters then. Our solution: every Friday afternoon sprinkle lightly
with very small gravel all approaches to this treasured feature. Sweep up
on Mondays. Repeat as directed, every school holiday. Small wheels dont like
small stones.
