The Smithsonian Traveling Exhibition Service (SITES) has had a sudden
cancellation of a double booking in an otherwise fully booked tour of our
exhibition THE FLAG IN AMERICAN INDIAN ART.

Available for January 23, 1999 through March 14, 1999 and immediately
following, April 10, 1999 through June 13, 1999, THE FLAG IN AMERICAN
INDIAN ART features thirty-seven works that illustrate the range of forms,
designs and uses of the American flag in American Indian art from the
late nineteenth and twentieth centuries. The exhibition includes works
from the Lakota, Plateau Indians, Kiowa, Brule Sioux, Nakota,
Otoe-Missouri, Makah, Apache and Navaho tribes.

This exhibition tour marks the first time selections from the Eugene V. and
Clare E. Thaw Collection of American Indian Art will travel the country
which had been organized by the New York State Historical Association
and SITES.

EXHIBITION SPECIFICATIONS:

Contents:  Thirty-seven objects, text panels, object labels, and mounts.
Exhibitors will be required to provide secure casework.

Square Meters:  162 (1,800 sq. ft.)

Security:  High

Participation Fee:  $8,500 for an 8-week booking period

Shipping:  Designated carrier, prorated shipping
