It's interesting to see a reviewer who's concewrned with these details. I
was always dissapointed to read reviews of shows that never even mention
the technical exhibit. I agree it has everything to do with how the work
is percieved. Too much or too little light, for example, can ruin a
painting, but I suppose these things are too subtle for most people to
appreciate.
