 Two quick thoughts - Your state highway patrol or motor vehicles or
highway division or maybe your local planning commission might have
specs
 on this.  Another thought - bus manufacturers or bus companies or your
local transit company (if you're big enough to have one that runs large
 busses) could provide you with the info.
