In a conversation recently with Dr. Alan Friedman, Director of
the New York Hall of Science, he expressed concern about the lack
of university museum studies programs focused on "informal
education" in museums and science centers and the resulting lack
of professionals knowledgeable about viewer-initiated learning. Do
other museum professionals have this concern and are there graduate
programs involved in this area? Does any school plan to offer a
masters degree in this?
