    October 30 to November 2, 1996, Ottawa, Canada

    The Preliminary Program for the Annual Conference of the Museum
    Computer Network is now available.  It is being mailed to MCN
    members, speakers, and others on the conference mailing list.
    Soon our web sites will also include the information in the
    printed program (http://world.std.com/~mcn/MCN.html -and-
    http://www.chin.gc.ca).  If you require further information or to

    Here is a synopsis of the preliminary program (abstracts,
    speakers' affiliations, and administrative details, available in
    the printed program, are not included here).  The following is
    to-date as of August 1st. The final program will be distributed at the
    conference.

    Note that the deadline for the Conference Scholarship Fund has
    been extended to September 6.

    All conference sessions and most workshops will be held at
    Ottawa's Westin Hotel.

    *Pre-conference Workshops
    Pre-conference workshops will be held on both Tuesday, October 29
    and Wednesday, October 30. All workshops are full day (9:00 a.m.
    to 5:00 p.m. except where noted). Attendance at the conference is
    not required to attend a workshop.

    Tuesday, October 29
    The workshops on October 29 are sponsored by the Canadian
    Heritage Information Network for its members. They may be opened
    to other registrants depending on participation.
