This question is really bugging me! I checked the ART INDEX but they use 3
different terms and cross reference them, "Art, Asian"; "Oriental Art", and
"Far Eastern Art". Several other sources I checked seemed to use the term
Asian Art. I have always preferred the term Asian as it applies to a large
area. Some museums appear to have Southeast Asia and East Asia collections as
well. I'm still working on this! (Most of the art dictionaries and
encyclopedias ignore the terms altogether!).
