The Morton Arboretum in Lisle, IL, seeks a Manager of Natural History
Education to plan, manage, and assist with promoting an education
program in natural history and ecology that focuses on the natural
resources of The Morton Arboretum.  The natural history education
program includes a comprehensive array of classes, workshops, and
seminars for the general public, certificate program participants,
professionals in ecology and natural areas management, and college
students.  A Master's Degree in Ecology, Botany, Zoology, or
Environmental Education is required.  Three years experience in
developing, managing, and promoting natural history/ecology programs in
an informal educational institution is preferred, as well as experience
in native landscape management/restoration.  Candidate must have the
ability to successfully teach ecology, botany, or related topics: thus,
previous teaching experience is preferred. The ability to use e-mail and
calendaring software programs is required, including intermediate word
processing and spreadsheet skills (preferably MS Word and Excel), as
well as basic PowerPoint skills.  Excellent verbal and written
communication skills are vital.  An excellent public service attitude
and personality are essential in order to accommodate the Program's
various and large audiences.  Some evenings and at least two weekend
