JOB ANNOUNCEMENT

Art Recovery Technologies, America’s premier art recovery service; 
currently has TWO
OPENINGS, for an entry-level conservator.

Art Recovery Technologies specializes in the recovery of middle value art, 
aimed at the insurance market.  A.R.T. is the cost effective solution for 
all Art and Collectible claims.  A.R.T. provides nationwide service 
through a network of 6 local offices, and is working in collaboration with 
The Fine Arts Conservancy, who is renown for its conservation of major 
artworks.  

Job Description:  The targeted market is residential and commercial 
insurance claims.  Primary types of restoration will include (but are not 
limited to) Fire, Smoke, Water and Breakage.  It is not unusual for 30-50 
pieces to come in for one job.  Works on paper, photographs and paintings 
are most often encountered, while objects are a close second. You must be 
able to perform independently and provide assistance to other technicians 
in the restoration department.  Attendance in meetings and seminars with 
clients is expected.  Travel is expected to be 0-20%.

Requirements/Skills:  A minimum of an undergraduate degree in conservation 
is required.  Upcoming Spring 2006 graduates are welcome to apply!  A 
general knowledge of conservation for all mediums is required, however, an 
emphasis on paper conservation will be a plus.  Good written and verbal 
communication skills are a must.  Close attention detail is essential.  
The ability to work with limited supervision and keep to a time schedule 
is critical.

Locations:  One position is located in Grand Rapids, Michigan.  The second 
position is located in Cleveland, Ohio
