Actually, You are underestimating the 6th and 7th graders.  We have had some
of them doing docent work, and they can be very good.  They must learn the
material, and be tested on it before they can be docents.  But if they are
eager, they make wonderful docents.  Check also with New Bridge Landing, that
uses younger children as docents to tell about the life of children during
the Revolutionary War.
