I was just reminded of one of my favorite films. It is not set in a Musuem but has such a wonderful mix of history and Hollywood.

"Sweet Liberty" made around the mid-1980's stars Alan Alda, Michelle Phfifer, and Michael Caine. It is a movie about a movie - when a film crew comes to North Carolina to make a revolutionary war film about the battle of Cowpens. Alan Alda plays the historian on whose book the movie is based, Michelle the colonial love interest, and Caine is the rougish British Officer Tarelton.

There are some hilarious scenes about how history is twisted by Hollywood "All movies are about three things, rebellion, naked people, and blowing things up!", and some great scenes between the local rev war re-enactors and the film crew. Michael Caine is delicious as the rougish actor.

Cheers!
Dave
