Mannequins that will fit will not come cheap. If you find some be sure to put a layer or two of cotton knit and polyester fill to protect the garments, you never know what they are coated with. buy small and adjustable, it is easy and cheap to add bulk.

If you have one form or can borrow one from another institution. consider making mannequins. You can easily copy a mannequin with buckram (just cover the mannequin with plastic and smooth wetted buckram over this). do a couple of layers, let dry. If you fill the inside with ethofoam and cover the out side with a thin layer of cotton knit and pantyhose you have a very archivally sound mannequin that can be hung or stuck on a stand. If you do this, feel free to e-mail me with further questions about the process or possible pitfalls. This is a quicker process than carving every form out of ethofoam though some pieces may need a carved form if they do not fit on a mannequin to begin with.
